Attorneys admitted to the practice of law in the District of Kansas must renew their bar membership annually to maintain active status. See D. Kan Rule 83.5.3. Use the Online Attorney Renewal System (OARS) to renew membership and pay the annual renewal fee of $25. Renewal applications and fees must be received by August 1. Active attorneys who fail to renew by August 1 will be terminated pursuant to D. Kan Rule 83.5.3 and must pay a $100 reinstatement fee to return to active status.
There is no fee to maintain inactive or retired status. There is no reinstatement fee to return to active status from inactive status.
