Urethane Antitrust Litigation

This multidistrict litigation (MDL) case includes class actions in which the plaintiffs claim the defendants engaged in unlawful price-fixing conspiracies with respect to urethane chemical products, in violation of the federal antitrust law. The Court has consolidated two sets of cases relating to different types of urethane products: the Polyester Polyol cases, which have been settled; and the Polyether Polyol cases, which have been settled against most defendants, but which continue against one defendant. There are also three ongoing direct action cases brought by a number of plaintiffs who have opted out of the class actions.
