Special Naturalization Ceremony in Wichita on Feb. 3

The United States District Court for the District of Kansas will hold a special naturalization ceremony sponsored in part by the Rotary Club of Wichita at Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.  The Honorable Eric F. Melgren, Judge for the District of Kansas, will preside over the ceremony, which features an address from Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, Dean of the University of Kansas School of Business and a naturalized citizen, as well as musical performances from the Wichita East High School Philharmonia and Madrigals.  McConnell Air Force Base Color Guard will present colors and lead the new citizens in the pledge of allegiance.  The Boy Scouts of America, Quivira Council, will serve as ushers for the ceremony.

Approximately 90 applicants will be naturalized at the ceremony, which is open and free to the public.
