On November 9, 2011 a panel of judges from the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit will hold a special session of court in Wichita. The panel will hear arguments from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Courtroom 238 of the Wichita United States Courthouse, 401 N. Market St. The arguments are open to the public.
That afternoon, the Court invites members of the bar and public to an open house from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to view a new exhibit titled Americans by Choice: The Story of Immigration & Citizenship in Kansas. At 3:30 p.m., the Court will make remarks and show a video about naturalized citizens from Kansas which will be shown at future naturalization ceremonies. The exhibit illustrates the paths to citizenship taken by Kansas settlers from around the world. It features photographs, documents and quotes, and will be located on the first floor of the Wichita United States Courthouse when not on loan. It is open to the public at no charge weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
