Local Rule 81.1(b) Removal Destinations

When a party (except the United States) removes a case from state to federal court in the District of Kansas, they should consult Local Rule 81.1(b) to determine where to file the 28 U.S.C. ยง 1446 notice of removal. The table and map below have been prepared to help parties determine where to file the notice of removal. The location--Kansas City, Wichita or Topeka--corresponds with the Kansas judicial district from which the case is being removed.
