The United States Attorney for the District of Kansas will begin providing paper discovery, to defense counsel, in electronic (PDF) format. In response to this, the Federal Public Defender for the District of Kansas has agreed to provide training to all Kansas Federal court appointed defense counsel (FPD/CJA Panel) attorneys and staff on utilizing some features in Adobe Acrobat to work with this electronic discovery.

This one hour course will give you basic hands-on instruction for using Adobe Acrobat Standard/Pro to OCR documents, use the find feature, use Annotations, extract pages, and create an Index for a collection of documents.

The course will be hosted by the Federal Public Defender, District of Kansas and will be held Thursdays in May in the Robert J. Dole US Courthouse, 2nd floor training room.

1 hour Kansas or Missouri CLE will be available to those who request it.
