Please Join The Federal Bar Association Chapter for the Districts of Kansas and Western Missouri for a Seminar Addressing the Use of Scientific Evidence in our Federal Courts

Date: June 10, 2016, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Description: The half-day seminar will consist of panel discussions addressing the use of scientific evidence in federal court. Highlights include a panel with Judge Phillips and Judge Maughmer from the Western District of Missouri and Judge Waxse and Judge O'Hara from the District of Kansas. Other panels will address using scientific evidence in particular practice areas, such as criminal law, commercial law, and products liability. Light refreshments will be served between sessions, and a reception with light lunch will be served from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

CLE Credit: The seminar is approved for 4 hours of CLE credit in Missouri and Kansas.

Costs: Non-FBA members*, $150.00; FBA Members, $50.

A special note for Chapter Members: the Chapter will conduct its annual membership meeting in conjunction with this seminar.  The meeting will involve two agenda items: bylaw amendments and officer elections. Free parking is available in the jury lot at Washington Blvd and 5th Street. Please allow time for security clearance at the Courthouse entrance (Nebraska Street (SOUTH) Entrance). Cell phones and other electronic devices are allowed in the building only if you have a current District of Kansas bar registration card and a photo ID.
