The Judicial Conference approved several changes to the federal court miscellaneous fee schedules, effective December 1, 2013:
- Increased the Notice of Appeals fee from $455 to $500.
- Increased the record retrieval fee from $53 to $64 for the first box requested from the Federal Records Center, and created a new fee of $39 for each additional box requested.
- Established a new fee of $176 in bankruptcy cases for the “filing of motions for the sale of property free and clear of liens under 11 USC §157(f).”
- Amended the fee for checks returned for insufficient funds on each of the court fee schedules to state, “any payment returned or denied for insufficient funds.” The $53 fee did not change
