On-Line Payments for Criminal Debt
The U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas now has the capability to accept on-line payments for Special Assessment, Fine and Restitution up to a maximum of $1,000 per transaction. Payments may be made through the U.S. Treasury website, Pay.Gov, using a bank account (ACH) or plastic card (credit, debit, prepaid card).
Defendants have the option to make a single payment, or create a Pay.gov account to securely store their ACH/credit card information for future payments through the Self Enrollment option. The Self Enrollment option includes a Recurring Payment function, which will automatically charge an amount set by the Defendant on a date or schedule. This method can be helpful in meeting deadlines set by Payment Agreements.
