District of Kansas Introduces On-Line Debt Payments

Posted: Wednesday, May 24, 2017

The U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas now has the capability to accept on-line payments for Special Assessment, Fines, and Restitution up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per transaction. Payments may be made through the U.S. Treasury website, Pay.Gov using a bank account (ACH) or plastic card (credit, debit, prepaid card).

Payees can make a one-time payment by accessing the Pay.Gov website and searching for the "KSD Criminal Debt Form". Payees also have the option to create an account through the Self Enrollment Option to securely store their ACH/plastic card information. The Self Enrollment option includes an auto-pay function, which will automatically charge an amount set by the Payee on a specific date or schedule. This method can be helpful in meeting deadlines set by Payment Agreements.
